Hans and Joan Miller

Hans and Joan live in Chippewa County, Wisconsin. The high school sweethearts have been married for over 30 years and have two adult children. Both Hans and Joan served in the US Air Force. Throughout their civilian careers, Hans primarily worked in manufacturing, and Joan in administrative positions. 

While working in the Behavioral Health field, Joan attended Assisting Individual in Crisis (AIC) in 2019, then the subsequent Faith Based First Responder Trainings. Little did she know the class taken for simple professional development credits would take her in a whole new direction. Within a year, Joan left her job and started regularly deploying across the country with Christ In Action.

Joan ministers to disaster survivors while conducting assessments on their homes. Hans serves as a team leader on deployment. Joan also serves as the director of the CIA Midwest Base of Operations that launched in the spring of 2025.
