Lancaster, PA Flooding - Basement - Video Report

In September of 2011, following Tropical Storms Katia and Lee, the Susquehanna Valley in Pennsylvania saw the worst flooding since Hurricane Agnes in 1972. Christ In Action Project Leader, Daryl Stoltzfus organized nearly 100 volunteers from the surrounding areas and Virginia into teams that worked in areas of West Earl Township, Manheim Township and Ephrata. Much work was done along the Conestoga River, where residents were evacuated as the water rose.  Some homes were condemned, while others required gutting down to the concrete block walls.  Days of muddy work were required to help restore a sense of normalcy and bring hope where it was needed most.
